Random Tip Of The Day - *No: 103* - How To Feel Better When You Wake Up In The Morning
70
Sleeping Well At Night
I don't know about everyone else but a while ago I would quite often wake up in the morning and wonder why the hell I felt so bad. I mean physically.
I had not gone to bed too late and then woken too early. I had not been out drinking all night. I had not eaten five burgers just before bed. I had brushed my teeth before bed. I had drunk plenty of water throughout the day.... So what was it!?
I took myself off to the doctor. It had to be diabetes. I woke up thirsty you see.. It wasn't. What could it be?
I took myself to the dentist so he (my dentist is a man you see) could have a look under my bonnet and see if there was a problem.. EUREKA! I needed a filling in my wisdom tooth "Ohhhh..." my dentist said, "This goes quite deep... it has been here a while I am afraid.." I didn't tell him that he failed to spot it when I visited him three months earlier...
I was pretty sure I had found the problem. I went off to bed that night and crossed my fingers for the morning. I woke up feeling like crap, and the next day.. and the one after... and the one after that.. "Darn! what IS IT!!!?!" I thought
The Random Tip For Today
This tip today, so I have been told, is a tip that mothers tell their children. I remember my mum telling me something similar. The problem is, she told me a whole lot of other things that were not logical or rational. So I have my reasons for not trying it out for a while. A collection of animals waiting outside my window that were happily happy to wake me up before any rational human being was ready., being one of them.
Leaving a window open while you sleep is very good for feeling great in the morning. Before you say it, I know. We do not all live in nice areas where you would be happy to leave a window open. We all will suffer from flying nasties that want to come and, "suk zee blot".
I normal open the window in my bedroom and turn all the lights off that would leak light into the room. I would also close the door that connects to the lounge, which I and most others will be in before bed. This way air spreads about the flat/house refreshing it. This fresh air is beneficial to a good nights sleep and it is needed. If you can keep it open, being on a top or higher floor or not having a noisy street outside, I would try it out. If you cannot for whatever reason, then don't. But do try this out.. Maybe not in winter though! The all night thing at least!
New Air Is Good Air
I don't know where you live. I do know that old air is not good and that new air or fresh air is good. Air in the evening is generally better as less people are working and less people are driving. Not to mention the sun is done and not creating natural releases, that are problems all the same.
You could invest in an air filter. I used to live in London and I would sleep with one on as I lived very close to a busy road. I would let the fresh air in in the mid-evening, around 8ish and then close my window about half an hour before bed. The noise from the road was too much to get to sleep with, and then stay asleep.
Having no fresh air while you sleep is one of the reasons why you might be feeling the way you do in the morning (if you have explored the points I have mentioned above) and the airflow is not great where you sleep. You will not be getting enough fresh air.
The good news is, there is enough combination air to keep you alive but the bad news is that you spend, on average eight hours, in one room and this is the reason for your headache. Air, like water is what the body uses to detox. When we sleep this is when the body works to detox itself. If the body does not have the right quantities of the right resources (air and water) it cannot detox like it wants to (the water comes from being hydrated rather than drinking lots before bed)
You could try ventilation to see how it helps your morning "groan". I know it helped me a lot! Make sure it is FRESH air though!
